Rempstone Steam Rally began in 1954 this is the oldest surviving Rally in the East Midlands. The show has grown tremendously from that first event behind the Beeby farm and has moved venue at least twice since then until it now hosts almost 500 exhibits including about 40 Steam Engines at Turn Post Farm.

The German Market is situated right next to the Victoria Centre Ice Rink and has become something of a Christmas tradition in Nottingham. The sights and aromas of the market from Frankfurt, with 30 stalls selling traditional German specialities such as wooden crafts, toys, jewellery, stollen and Bratwurst.
The German Market will be located in Long Row, Smithy Row and near the Council House between 18 November and 23 December. The market will be open Monday to Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Experience the magic of Christmas in Nottingham. Enjoy a glass of Glühwein at the German Christmas Market as you soak up the sights, sounds and smells that add festive flavour to the Square.
